New Rotax owner.  Rotax recommends flushing the system annually or at 200 hours.  What does everyone use?

    Prestone DEX-COOL antifreeze+coolant - Ready To Use (50/50 Prediluted)

Dennis it also depends on what type of aircraft you own. For example ELA 07S gyros have copper/brass tubing in their coolant system so I have to use a coolant sympathetic to that chemistry. Another trick. Make sure that your pressure cap is earthed as that aluminium octopus assembly connecting all of your pipes generally has a small (millivolts) reading which causes electrolysis and pitting to that component. Its replacement cost is in the order of Aus $900.

Many just use Dex Cool 50/50 (orange is extended life in the US). You can buy it already pre-mixed with water or buy the concentrate and mix your own with distilled water.

In colder areas you could mix a batch at 60-40

(In Australia and believe Europe) Castrol Radicool SF meets the Rotax standard (for mixed metal cooling systems).

Red/orange coloured coolant can be purchased as a pre mix or concentrate. I much prefer the concentrate so that I can be sure of the mixing ratio (Rotax recommence 50:50) and the quality/purity of the water.

Rogers suggestion "In colder areas you could mix a batch at 60-40" may have benefits for extremity cold operations (check with the coolant supplier) but will almost certainly reduce the thermal efficiency (heat removal) of the coolant.
