In the just released January 2023 OM the table of revisions states chapter 4 is changed in its entirety, but there are change bars scattered about in the chapter 4 margins. However, when we reach the 4000 rpm ignition circuit checks in chapter 4 the permissible rpm drops are different than the Nov 2016 manual, but there is no change bar in the margin for this revised information.  Is the 500 rpm drop per circuit/150 rpm difference between circuits a misprint or an update with no change bar in the page margin?

    Hi Jim

    Good catch!!!

    They made the RPM MAG drop change for the 914 a couple of years ago (500 rpm drop per circuit/150 rpm) and we think Rotax copied the same Mag Drop parameters for the 912.

    We will look into this and get back to you!

    Hello,

    Indeed the 2016 version of the Manual Operator indicates a loss of 300 rpm maximum when testing the CDI at 4000 rpm and the new Manual Operator of 2023 indicates 500 rpm?

    Is it the same for the difference between the two rpm losses which goes from 115 rpm to 150 rpm?

    Is thisrator?

    It changes a lot of things and we will ask a lot of questions about these new parameters of control of the CDI  valid or is it a problem of copying and pasting from the Rotax 914 Manual OpeIt changes a lot of things and we will ask a lot of questions about these new parameters of control of the CDI

    Hello Rotax-Owner,

    Thought I’d follow up, I’ve been flying my 912UL this week using the previous manual RPM numbers, can you confirm what numbers am I supposed to be using?
