Hi Team,
Have been given a very nice pair of 0-30” vacuum gauges, given I only need some vacuum hose and some basic fittings I would like to use these to build a carb sync tool. I understand I need an orifice inline with each gauge to dampen out the cylinder pulses and minimise needle oscillations.
Does anyone know what size (diameter) port should be in the orifice to give sufficient dampening?
Also would like to use the method of connecting to one end of the crossover balance pipe, does anyone bother cutting the length of the tubing back to the gauges so its exactly the same length to each intake manifold taking into account the extra length from the alloy balance pipe?, e.g. is the extra length of the balance pipe going to two of the cylinders enough to impact on balance measurements
Thanks in advance,
Byron.
