Rotax Wizard, let me clarify. As posted in my previous reply, I ordered the NON-SHIELDED ROTAX plug wire and it's my intention to wrap them with the shielding material as a protection measure against abrasion and heat. I realize that I have the new(er) type ignition modules and coils. What I took from the Team Kitfox posting was NOT so much about the old style housing or wires, but was the wire protection. If adding the shielding is going to cause some sort of functionality issue, I am unaware of that fact. It seems to me that it should not, but then again, I am NOT an electronics or electrical or mechanical or even a civl engineer. I'm just a pretty bright guy trying to do my best to make as "bullet proof" aircraft as I can. I certainly do appreciate any and all feedback from others who have different experiences and experience levels than me. I also try to share what I know or have experienced with others. I will take the advice/opinions I receive and make my own decisions from that.

Scott, thank you. I was afraid you would use a resistor type wire and that creates a lot of problems. I agree an oversleeve should not be an issue. Sorry I misunderstood you.
Cheers
