the 912is manual says fuel pressure should be between 40.5 and 46.5 PSI.

I was getting fuel pressure reading mid 60's to low 70 psi.

This weekend I switched out to a larger but finer Fuel Filter as Rotax recommends for the 912is as well as cleaned out the Fuel Regulator screen (which was pretty clean)

Now my fuel pressure reads mid 50's. Does this make sense that the new fuel filter would reduce fuel pressure? Also, What else might be preventing me from getting fuel pressure down to within tolerance?

Thank you in advance for your advise.

Yes that makes sense. It sounds like you have the correct plumbing installed as far as the fuel pressure sensor is concerned: The fuel pressure sensor should be located before the fine filter so it can detect a rise in fuel pressure as the filter becomes dirty. (Why? measuring increasing pressure is more accurate than decreasing pressure)
What engine instrument are you using? I heard that Dynon has just released an update that corrects a fuel pressure calculation error. Maybe this is all you need.

Thank you. I am using the MGL iEFIS explorer. I will have to check and see if they are having the same issue. I am not familiar with the issue for Dynon, so I will read the thread on that.

Just replaced fuel filter on Sling 2iS with MGL panels with fuel pressure measured before filter and pressure went from about 70 to 60 psi. Pain to change filter. Anyone know what the higherst pressure would be before a fuel filter change is mandatory? I will research this fuel pressure being higher than specified....

I can not find out what fuel pressure is maintained after the fine filter by the fuel pressure regulator? I suspect it is around the before filter since the pressure drop of the fine filter specified is around 1 psi?
