Dear All,
I´m willing to replace my 912 ULS with a 912iS.
Want to know what changes in the engine monitoring instruments and probes must be done to have compatibility with the iS engine?
I have a TL-3724 EMS from TL Electronics installed.

The 912is is a computer operated engine.
Very similar to the what you have in any car made in the last 30 years.

All data from the engine comes out of the ECM on a 2 wire CAN Bus.
The CAN Bus carries the Tachometer, Oil Pressure, Oil Temperature, Fuel Flow Rate, CHT, EGT, MAP, MAT, AAP, AAT, and more.
There are no places to connect conventional instruments to the engine.
It appears that the TL-3724 is not compatible.
You will need a Dynon, MGL, etc type display to monitor the engine.
The TL-6724 will give you the basics.
For a little more the TL-6624 will give you a full panel.

The 912is is a different animal. Welcome to the 21st century!

They really aren't interchangeable. Totally different firewall forward and instrumentation. It would take some extensive engineering to swap a ULS to an iS.

    Like Bill said. Different animals.
