The 912is runs great, total hours are now 33. EMS is Dynon (in a FD CTLS). Since new, the Fuel pressure sensor, running pump 1 always ran at the top of the green (psi). When pump 2 was switched on, the reading was well into the yellow, coming close to the redline. At the 25 hours Dealer inspection and oil change, I asked that all fuel filters be checked for blockage. There was some sediment found in the engine fuel filter probably from airplane construction flotsam. A new "BMW" filter was installed.

After the plane was returned, when running on pump 1, the normal flying reading is about 44.3+. When pump 2 is engaged (takeoff and landing as per the manual), the reading goes into the yellow, but, not as much as before the 25 hours checkup and filter change.

Question please... do you believe I need to get the filter replaced again? As you can imagine, any instrument that reads yellow is disconcerting. Would appreciate any advice...

    Many of the FD pressure spans are a little too narrow. Most of us have increased the top yellow alert number up at least 1 psi. This has taken care of many people. If it runs and hits close to 47 psi changing the filter has made a difference and making sure there is nothing in the gascolator screen. I have seen a few CT's with a thin gascolator screen that have collapsed so I put a stiffer screen in. Also a slightly courser screen because the original was a little too fine and I think the suction trying to move that much fuel caused the screen to collapse.

    If the max is 3.2 bar and the min is 2.8 bar, where do you recommend the red band begin?

    My G3X Touch settings from the factory are:

    Red Range: 0.0-2.2
    Green Range: 2.7-2.8
    Red Range: 3.2-3.45

    No wonder it would turn yellow on T/O. The green range is very tight.

    Roger, what do you recommend? I assume green should be 2.8-3.2. What about the red ranges?

    This post is under the fuel injected engine so its fuel pressure is different than the carb version.

    Carb 912:
    Set low red at 2.2 psi and high red up at 7.0 psi. Anything else in the middle should be green. If you go over 7.0 psi (max 7.2) you most likely have a bad sender or a loose wire. I think most are running between 3.5 to 5.5 psi normally.

    One thing to check few ever do is before a first start of the day turn the instruments on and see if there is any fuel or oil pressure. I see some with readings just sitting there cold. Bad sender.

    I should have clarified. I have a 912iS. What would the settings be for it?
