Re: Maintenance mode on B.U.D.S. Softwar

As a followup, we got some help from Nino and Rotax, who viewed the log files and immediately found the problem--SBE--Stupid Build Error. On the RV-12iS (with 912iS engine), we have to disconnect two of the Crankshaft Position Sensors (CPS) in order to properly attach in engine mount. We swapped the two connectors when reconnecting, with the strange and unnatural behavior we observed as a result. Swapping the connectors to their correct positions worked wonders.
Thanks to all for their advise.

As a follow up, the BUDS found its way to Nino at Rotax who very quickly diagnosed the problem as SBE—Stupid Builder Error (my term, not his). When mounting the 912iS engine on the engine mount, two of the three Crankcase Position Sensors (CPS had to be disconnect. Despite warnings in the kit assembly instructions, we swapped the two connections Enginesdont run well when you do that. We corrected the problem and now have expected behavior from the engine.
