Pressure Purge with Hydraulic Governor

When pressure purging a new engine installation what, if any, additional measures must be taken to ensure the hydraulic governor/constant speed prop are purged of air? This is not covered in the 912-018 service instruction.

Can the turbocharger be purged without starting the engine first?

The turbo will purge with the engine.

As for your governor carry out exercising (cycling) of the prop pitch at least 3 times. This is moving from full fine to coarse pitch when the engine has been warmed up, Any air will clear the line and be sure the governor is full. There is no special procedure.
