gear box oil blow out

I just took possession of a new Magni M24 gyro with a 915is. it was handed to me with 5 hours on the timer. On my first flight which lasted 10min, I had a catastrophic failure of the rear oil seal and if I was not over the airfield, would of ended very badly. We lost over 2 liters of oil in under 3 minutes and the oil pressure.
Has anyone had any similar issue?
