Boost vs RPM Limit

Many TSi owners reset their Cruise settings to 5500 for best performance, or just cruise in the Climb setting.

There is no reason to be at 5000 RPM with an adjustable prop.
Running at Higher RPMs at Lower Pressures is like running a marathon on Roller Skates.  Super easy on the body!
The engine is rated to run at 5500 RPM (Max Continuous) all day long.
I would leave the Climb at 5500 and set the Cruise at 5400 just so you have the option and can be well assured you are comfortably below Max Continuous RPM.

Bill, I'm not sure I understand why you state this. Aren't there benefits to operating at 5000 RPM if there is no need for additional horsepower (slow cruise)? I know we have all been taught in the past to not over square the engine but I'm not sure the logic makes sense. I am a student of Mike Busch and though he is primarily an expert of Lycoming and Continental, it seems like the same should apply for any engine. His claim is that we can get the EGTs down (which is likely better for longevity) operating at a lower RPM with a adjustable prop.
