Anyone know if Rain-x would be damaging to an aircraft acrylic windscreen? Anyone using this?

Rain-X make a product specifically for plastic surfaces. The link below will take you to a preview page at tinyurl.com, where you can see the very long link at RainX.com that it points to.

Acrylic/Perspex is fairly resistant/compatible to most/with windscreen cleaners .
The windscreen/cockpit material that you have to be realy careful with, is polycarbonate. Seems it can be damaged by almost everything, other than water and a soft cloth.

I've been using 210 plastic cleaner and polish for 30 years on all my motorcycles and aircraft windshields. My Flight Design CT's windshield looked brand new and no scratches in more than 1500 hrs. It cleans and polishes at the same time and wipes off easier than most window sprays. For deeper scratches they make a thicker paste like polish that works really good too. You can buy it in many places. It's fairly popular and works very well.

Great tips, I'll give that 210 cleaner a try, thank you!
