Thanks,
The current model I see on Aircraft SPruce is version 5 which is the latest.

"I am the owner of an experimental, it's for me and the current price is $249."
You make my point well - just for you - how often do you think you will use it ?
My bet - once in the first year, possibly again in the second but if your engine keeps purring away (no problems) you are unlikly to use it, until your "bulletproof" (?) Rotax starts to use oil or a head valve may be leaking (2000 + hrs?) - then you will use it once again.
This is not a routine service tool, it's a diagnostic that you may use, when you suspect a problem, to delve deeper into the engine, that would otherwise require dismantling in whole or part.
This is the sort of infrequently used tool, that a group/club might want to invest in a (near) professional level one.

Sean, You make valid points. My primary motivation is to use at annual condition inspection instead of the differential pressure test. The webinar appeared to have made good points about the unreliability of the pressure test. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLgE59UqG8U&t=1820s

He said the traditional compression test is unreliable, he didn't mention a differential pressure / leak down test.

I misspoke. Traditional compression test is what I was referring to.
