Hello everyone,

First time here. I have always very diligently complied with all service bulletins for the 912ULS on my 2015 RV-12. Been doing the annual condition inspection for 9 years now. I have always struggled with referencing the service bulletins and verifying which ones apply. I have been printing the list of Alert Bulletins, Service Bulletins, Service Instructions and Service Letters to help verify compliance. This year the Technical Documentation search page seems to have been updated or changed from what I have used in the past. This year my search turned up only 16 SB items when last year I got 55. Seems to me the reason is that I am now able to include the engine serial number in the search which excludes non relevant items. Does my theory that including the SN in the search is the reason for the change? Does it seem right to have only 16 Service Bulletins in 9 years? If not, what am I missing? My 912ULS serial number is 6 782 741.

Thanks

    Hello Wayne,

Yes, we have now linked directly to the Rotax official bulletin and document search system. Rotax recently updated its system to allow you to search for documents and bulletins based on S/N. For this reason, we now link directly to the official Rotax system.

When you enter your S/N into the search function, it will provide you with information directly related to your engine. Previously, we provided all documents and bulletins for your engine model, regardless of whether they pertained to your engine serial number specifically, which is why you now see fewer documents and bulletins. That said, no system is perfect (not even Rotax), so you should still double-check to ensure there are no critical safety documents related to your engine that may have been missed and not listed based solely on the S/N.
