Anyone who can repair/re-weld 912 exhaust system?

Regarding exhaust systems, in the past I have used Dawley Welding in Burlington, Wisconsin.  They were great, and in fact they superbly duplicated a Hanlon & Wilson muffler set for a Luscombe I used to own.

Dawley, unfortunately for us, was bought out awhile back by another company (don't recall who).  However, in my continuing search for a Kitfox exhaust repair or replacement source (just like you), I did find a guy who used to work for Dawley and apparently is supplying exhaust work on his own, named Kurt Keske.  I have two numbers.  800-338-5420 & 262-661-9999.  It was within the last couple of years that I did talk to him on the phone, but don't have any more info than that.

Another option is a guy named Steve Furjesi (fur-jessy) at Experimental Aircraft Metal Fabrication in Chehalis, WA [website].  I had him do some welding on my Kitfox fuselage and he does beautiful work.  He's the OEM for engine mounts for one of the biggest names in the airplane kit business.  I doubt that he has a Rotax 912 sitting around, but he's a very talented welder.

My son is a professional welder and repairs them a few times a year.

Send me a picture and i can get you an estimate or he charges $100 usd per hour which includes all materials

Fred, does your son have access to a 912 so if I shipped him an exhaust system he could bolt it up to the 912? 

I have a kit fox but kind of a job to get it apart but do able.
