Hello every one, I need a little help with this one.
I have a 914 fitted to my Highlander. After 220 hrs of faultless operations I encountered a very very heavy landing. After repairing the small amount of damage to the aircraft I thought it prudent to tie her down and run up the engine. A problem has occurred with being able to reach full power. Before the heavy landing I could pull around 5400 rpm static and easily reach 39 inches of manifold. The fact is that I always held the aircraft on her brakes until full manifold pressure was reached on every take off, therefore I was constantly aware of the power available to me at all times.
When I tried the engine run up after the heavy landing I can only achieve the following values 5000rpm and only 34.5 inches of manifold. What could have changed ???
Any help would be great

Regards john
