Gear (hoursing) Serial Number
My first question on this forum is the following: is there any possibility to trace or find out the original gear (or gear housing) serial number corresponding to the motor serial number at original delivery? I believe that when a 912 UL is sold/delivered the first time to a UL manufacturing company, it comes with a gear mounted on it. Perhaps, both numbers are stored in a Rotax-Database.
How can I find this information?
Thanks for your help.

What is behind my question...
I bought a second hand ultralight plane equipped with a 912UL. It had 125 flight hours when I bought it last summer, today more or less 215. I have no problem with the engine, only a small oil leakage (since the beginning).
This oil leakage seems to come from the motor/gear flange. I add something like 150 to 200 ml every 10 hours (it is more in summer time, less in winter time).
Recently, I showed my engine to someone (who is a rotax mechanic) who told me:
1. the gear hasn't been properly mounted on the motor flange ("loctite hasn't been utilized, oil is definitively leaking trough the flange because of this").
2. the S/N number written on the gear housing indicates that it is not the original one...
I could believe he is right with n°1, but I really have a doubt with his n°2. I think he wanted to frighten me a little bit so that I make the coming 100 hours revision at his workshop... But I would like to be sure about this topic!
So if I can be sure that my actual gear is the one that has been originally delivered with my 912UL, this would makes me getting back to calm ;-).
