    Please could you provide the year of manufacture for Rotax 912 4380792 ( Certified Engine ) & also any detail of history of ownership of this engine.

    I know this engine is in a 2012 uk registered microlight & was fitted as NEW but I suspect it was previously used in a 1995/1996 built aircraft.

    Any details you have on this engine would be useful as if it is a 1995/96 ENGINE it is now time expired, but if it is a 2012 ENGINE it is still in currency.

    Peter

    4380792 was produced 13-Sep-1995

    There's no configuration info in the database for engines of that vintage, and it is not showing as registered (no history).

    Engine Serial Number: 4380792
    Engine Type: ROTAX 912 A
    Model Number: 309120022

    HI, I have several Rotax 503's, 377's and 618 that i would like to know the manufacturer date for. If it is possible could I get the years made for the following serial numbers?
    618 = 4177725
    503 = 3975034
    503 = 4937458
    503 = m5432355
    377 = 3443750
    377 = 3476289

    4177725 was produced 21-Jul-1993
    Engine Serial Number: 4177725
    Engine Type: ROTAX 618 UL
    Model Number: 306180010

    5432355 was produced 21-Mar-2001
    Engine Serial Number: 5432355
    Engine Type: ROTAX 503 UL FAN
    Model Number: 305030010

    As for the others, they all predate the electronic database system.

    3975034 : "Your Engine is not listed in the system"
    3443750 : "Your Engine is not listed in the system"
    3476289 : "Your Engine is not listed in the system"
    4937458 : "Your Engine is not listed in the system"

    We were able to examine the North American distributor's paper archives, and none of those engines are listed there either. Possibly they originated with a European distributor. It's also possible that some of them could actually be snowmobile engines. But based on the paper records, the numbers indicate they are likely from the following date ranges:

    377 = 3443750 : Mid-80s, probably 1985
    377 = 3476289 : Mid-80s, probably 1985
    503 = 3975034 : Late 1990-early 1991
    503 = 4937458 : 1999 (spring)
