What are the pros and cons of fogging when leaving a Rotax 582 idle over the winter can you tell me please? The aircraft is in southern Alberta in an unheated hangar.

    Hi Lain,

I think it's a good idea especially in humid and damp climates. You may want to get a large 50 gal. trash bag and store it wrapped up too. What were you going to use to fog it with?

Thanks Roger - my reference to Southern Alberta, winter, and the unheated hangar was an oblique reference to the bone-dry climate here. (See W. O. Mitchell (1974 play, 1993 book) The Black Bonspiel of Wullie MacCrimmon). Having said that, the only real downside seems to be the effort to do it. I was planning on using Canadian Tire's MotoMaster Fogging Oil.
