MGL TP-1 and new oil press sender

Has Anyone seen very erratic oil pressure from a newly installed engine using the MGL TP-1 oil pressure gauge? Before you ask I did a double check to make sure the sender is hooked up to the 4-20mA wire and I also did an oil pressure check with a manual gauge, which was rock solid. So I don't know if it is the TP-1 or a faulty sender. The oil pressure jumps from between 40 and 65 psi through all RPM ranges on the oil pressure screen. If I change the screen to where it shows both oil temp and press the pressure just reads 75psi all the time. It's got me baffled.
