I had my Sprag Clutch go out. I shipped the 912ULD engine in to have the Sprag Clutch replaced, and I also had them check the gear box since it was in for a new Sprag Clutch. I just got the engine back in, I got everything put back together, and was starting to pitching the prop, as I rotated to go to the second blade, it stopped rotating like it hit a hard stop. I checked the crankshaft lock it not in. I don't want to force it through. I disengaged the starter, and it wasn't that, it still feels like it's hitting a hard stop. I'm planning on calling CPS to see what they thought might be the cause. I'm planning on creating it back up and shipping it to them to see what might be wrong. Tuesday I am planning on to pulling the engine. I can not figure out what the cause could be, any ideas in what may be causing it to behave like this?

I would call CpS first. Ask them about it and they may recommend a remedy. they may also allow a Certified Rotax Mechanic to do the work in place rather than boxing it up and paying for shipping ... again. How many hours are on the engine? Is there a plastic cover on the back of the stator area? If not, you may look to see if some metal object has fallen into it (its a giant magnet) jamming the engine. Not likely, just another 'what if".

While you are waiting for other solutions...
Remove the bottom spark plug from each cylinder.
A hydraulic lock feels like you hit steel.
They may have gotten a little too generous with the oil getting it ready to ship.
If any plug comes out wet, there is the problem.

I took out all four top plugs, I'll do the bottom plugs next. I have gotten extremely hard of hearing and can not hear where the issue is, I got my Automotive Stethoscope with a long steel rod so I can go listen for the noise of the bump to ID where it is coming from. They didn't do any work on the heads, rocker arms, lifters, or Cylinders. I had picked up the engine, put it in the back of my Truck and drove home. I wouldn't have suspected they would have oiled the heads, valves, lifters, or Cylinders since they worked on it. I'm calling Brian later this morning.

If the top plugs are out, the hydraulic problem would be resolved.
Any oil would have just gone up and made a mess instead of neatly draining down.
    Same result!

I have talked to Brian at CPS, he has recommended checking the Trigger Coils, he believe one may have come loose. So I'll check that next, man removing the cover is going to be fun with the engine in!
