Recently I realized that the bottle of ROTAX SPORT PLUS oil that I´m using here in Brazil is the black one and it has the fab date and exp. date in very small letters dificult to find.
Question is. are there any difference on the oil from the back bottle and the one of the red bottle?

yes the red and black bottles are different. You can mix them if need be, but I wouldn't let that black bottle sit on the shelf a long time. The red bottle Aero Shell was reformulated.

    Tanks Roger

Can you explain the reason of the reformulation? What characteristic is improved?
As I understand the black is OK, no major issues, am I right?

They used some flight schools that could put accumulate some high hours and then checked engines. Through that program they tweaked the oil's composition so it would be even better for a high wear close tolerance engine. Many companies would not have done that and just let the original oil go. I applaud them for going the extra mile and expense to make it better.
