Dear all,

This is with regards to the torque values stated in the tightening of bolts, screws, nuts etc. in the assembly and installation process for Rotax 914 engine.

It is observed that the torque values given are of an absolute value with no tolerance or range specified. Is there any tolerance or range for the torque values? (i.e. for a torque value of 10 Nm, what is the minimum or maximum acceptable value).

Thank you.

    Hi Lee,
With a torque wrench you should be able to hit the target torque number. Bolt stretch (torque) is specific. You don't want to over torque it or under torque it because both may have consequences.

Not sure why you want a torque range vs specific since the wrench is set up to get you that specific number?
