I have a 921 uls 400 hrs the engine was running rich when i purchased the plane i did 5yr rubber, rebuilt carbs metering rod set 2nd notch from bottom, new fuel pump, replaced radiator, installed soft start ugn. Lifter test ok, the plane is at sea level . After running engine i duscovered cyl 1,2,3 were still rich # 4 was running normal can bad coils be causing the problem?

    Hi Steve,
Why do you think they are rich? Did you look at your plugs after idling?

checked after 5 min of run up at 3500 rpm and after 3 hr flight further investigation it seems plugs will show a rich mixture unless the engine can be shutoff at cruse rpm good for dead stick practice. Guess i will leave it alone.
    Thanks Steve
