coolant in the fuel pump overboard?

I am losing a small amount of coolant. I found it splashed across the back of the engine firewall and other places. I think it is leaking from an ill fitting reservoir cap, see pic. and some of it is migrating up inside the mechanical fuel pump drain tube. see pic. I can hardly believe this and just wanted to know, is that really what I"m seeing here?
The overboard drain is at the cowling but not outside the plane in the slipstream, so as not to create any vacuum on that tube, but, ... look at the coolant, its way up in that tube.
