A new engine today is going to be about $18,000.
A rebuild of your core is going to be about the same price unless you Do It Yourself and don't count the labor.
For planning purposes assume a new engine price and then add the labor to do the replacement.

    Wow, no other options?

    Sure, there are other options.
You asked about the cost to replace or rebuild.
You could also find a used but still serviceable engine.
Of course, a half run-out engine at half the cost is the same as a new engine at full cost in the sense of dollars per year.

There is also the "Do Nothing" Option.
If the engine has high years but Low Hours and is giving you no troubles, just keep flying and inspect it regularly.
If you have an "Experimental" certified aircraft, you can run the engine until it falls off the mount.
    The "On Condition" Option.
