Do we know someone with experimental ULS that have 3000 hours or so?

And if we do, is this real person and information reliable?

Yes, Phil Lockwood of Lockwood Aviation.
He spoke at a forum at the Light Sport Expo in Sebring Florida, 2012.
    They were testing a 912.
It was way over TBO and still within tolerances. I think it was nearing 5k hrs.
    Call him to verify.

I have some long time friends with 3-4 K, but you need to do the right maint. and don't skip maint. or add wrong some aftermarket parts because doing the wrong thing can cause a shortened life. I have a friend not far from me with 2500+ hrs. on a Flight Design CTLS. He uses it for training.

Roger, do you kow how that would sit with the insurance company if an incident occurred after TBO or the 1500 hour time out?
Figure flying a SLSA. What might the courts say if there was a fatality caused by an engine stoppage?
It's speculative, I know, but, what's your thoughts?
I may call AOPA legal services tomorrow and post back.

Also, would be interesting to know at what RPM they did run their engines to get to 3, 4 or 5000 hours.

I know that we talked many times about good window of 5000 - 5500 RPM.. But I remember when I lived in Germany with no speed limit. When you're looking for used vehicle to get, you want to buy your car from 60 years old lady. You don't want to get your BMW from 25 years old boy that spend 95% of its time on autobahn in the left lane. Because everybody knows that high rpm does kills engines.
