Rotax engine ID.

I have a Rotax engine that came with a Quicksilver MX I bought. The engine has no tag on it. The seller claims it's 503. Is there any way to visually confirm that's it's a 503 and not a 447? Thanks.

Check the bore. If you use your imagination you can measure it close enough through the exhaust port. 503 is 72mm 477 is 64.5mm I believe

Lol. I've got one hell of an imagination, I was hoping to not pull anything a part. No way to tell by looking at them?

Post the serial number here - I might be able to tell you from the factory records...

PS: it's not recommended to purchase any engine that doesn't include THE ENGINE LOGBOOK!

It's an ultralight and had no logs or a tag. It was running and was demo'd before a bought it. By demo'd, I mean it was flown in front of me. It seemed like a good purchase and I'm comfortable with it. I was just looking to see if I could confirm it was a 503 to make buying future parts easier.
