Attaching the Engine Suspension Frame to my 912ULS.
Kit manufacturer refers me to the IPC for the appropriate torque on the M10 bolts.
The IPC just gives part numbers and use requirements, but no torque values ((pp 71-20-00 page 3))
The bolts that held the shipping mount broke loose at 75 ft-lb
The M10x110 bolt on the top starboard side broke loose at 25 ft-lb
Having an engineering stated torque value rather than a gut guess would be preferred.
If there are no torque values in the IPC, where else should I be looking?
Thanks in advance

The parts catalog identifies the parts, the Maintenance manual tells you what to do with them.
There is an instruction for that...
Heavy Maintenance Manual Section 71-00-00, Page 20,
Paragraph 6.1.3, Engine Suspension Frame Assembly.
    40Nm (29.5 ft∙lb).

This is Not a Bolt into a Steel Nut. (55-75Nm)
It is a Steel Bolt into an Aluminum casting. (40Nm)
Blue Loctite is Not specified but won't hurt if you are a Belt and Suspenders type.

Bill's reply is important - - the typical torque charts are for a bolt/nut combination.  The torque value for a 10m screw into an aluminum block is far lower.  Don't strip the threads in your block - - be careful.

I know that this was 3 years ago but I would like to point out a couple of things.

First of all it clearly states in the Installation Manual for the Rotax 912 series engines that the M10 bolts used for transporting engine should not be used for installing the engine as they are not suitable,

The bolts specified by Rotax for the purpose are M10x35mm long Din 912 and are grade 10.9.

If you are using the mounting holes at positions: L2; R2; L3; R3 then the M10x110 bolt  at position R3 must be removed from the engine and refitted at the mounting with lock washer. This bolt is Grade 10.9 and should be tightened to a torque of 60Nm as stated in the Heavy Maintenance Manual Chapter 71-00-00 page 20. The other 3 bolts should be M10x35 and installed using lock washers and Loctite 243 to a torque of 60Nm.
