God afternoon,

I received my oil analysis from Aviation Labs Inc.They listed 642 PPM in the sample. I did not use ANY leaded fuel since my previous oil change, just 93 octane non E fuel. Are they just writing in numbers or is this somehow possible. They're comparing this to similar engines and time in service.

What was your lead level on the previous analysis?

Was there Any Leaded Fuel used PRIOR to the previous Oil Change?
Once introduced,  it will lessen over time but some will linger forever.
This is why Tyler is asking about the Previous Results.

I have been tracking lead in my oil analysis and find that there is an almost perfect ratio between each gallon of 100LL fuel used to the PPM of lead.

Each gallon of 100LL results in about 22 PPM in my oil analysis.

By that ration you probably used about 29 gallons of 100 LL fuel since the last oil change.

    Edit:

    I should add that I have a 912iS engine.

Since my fuel consumption is different than that of other types of 912 engines this ratio is probably unique to this type.
