912 oil tank return fitting cap/thread?

Hi Pete - Just replace hose with a temporary short piece (I use an off cut  from my 5 year rubber change), that can be clamped, using vise grips or similar. Achieves a the same result without any additional cost 

It depends on how your engine was ordered; it can be AN or metric. Mine is AN 37 degree flare. Can get a plastic, steel or brass cap almost anywhere that sell hydraulic fittings. I think it is 3/4" tube size, but can't guarantee it.

I just purchased an oil purge kit that included a metal cap fitting.  If you haven't found one yet I can get the p/n for you.
