Hi to the Administrator. I was wondering if Rotax would offer a Discount to all Rotax 912 engine
owners who would like to upgrade their old fuel pumps for the new one that is coming out. This would increase safety across the board. And would create a lot of good will towards the owners. This could be announced this Summer at Airventure 2011 at OSH. At any one time there would be over 100,000 possible customers in attendance. With over 700,000 people passing through the gates through out the week of the show. I understand the old fuel pump was one of the most returned Items under warranty. Feel free to check with Kodiac to see how many fuel pumps were sold in the last 12 months in the USA. There were probably many pumps that were replaced that were not under warranty. I'm sure they could just check their inventory control data base to see how many were sold. Thank you for your consideration in this matter. :)

I would like to second the motion made by John, above.

It would seem to be good business for Rotax to make speedy replacement of a trouble-prone accessory a priority item for Corporate, Importer and Service Centers. Ideally, engines under warranty should get a no-cost replacement, others new units at lower-than-list cost.

Expeditious replacement of units where users suspect fuel pump malfunction seems preferable to Rotax having to handle the issues arising from incidents/accidents wherein fuel pump problems are reported.

This Forum has been needed for a long time and is greatly appreciated by this 912ULS owner who has reason to suspect his engine-driven fuel pump is not regulating pressure correctly.

    Jim
