Signatures

The "Rules" explain what is or isn't permitted in a Forum Signature.
I have searched diligently and cannot find the procedure to create a Forum Signature.

Hints?

    Thanks for the heads up, Bill!
    As this is a primarily a technical forum, we have disabled widespread public use of 'forum signatures' to reduce clutter and distraction. I have edited the Rules page to bring it up to date about that. Perhaps we'll add in an optional "About" tab to the user profile, if people want to have something like a forum signature...

    Now that I have thrashed your Rules Section ... ;)

    Is there a way to 'discretely' pass external contact information to another user on the Forum so that we might take our discussion off the forum?

    Actually, it's almost always of maximum benefit to the community if you keep the discussion ON the forum. (Sometimes what might seem to be a minor side-discussion to you can provide an essential clue for someone troubleshooting a related issue!)

    I have just added an (optional) "About Me" tab in your Member Profile where you now can somewhat discretely place some contact info if you choose. (Temporarily, even - since you can edit it at any time). This tab is only visible to logged-in members. You can CLICK THIS LINK to edit the "About Me" tab in "My Profile". (The link only works if you are logged in...)

    I'm always happy to add to the community's knowledge base.
    I was concerned that one of the threads was too much of a side discussion,
    but as I see we have over 230 views I guess it is of interest to a significant number of members.
