    Hi Dave,

Not knowing exactly how your system is designed rain could get in. I would drain the entire system and start fresh. You have to start somewhere with ruling out each possibility. You can still have moisture or corrosion in your electrical circuitry. Just unplug and check the important ones.

    Hi Dave,

That sounds like it's an issue on your end.

Admin will hopefully read this and double check and respond.

    Dave,

When I had my 582 I re-did the connectors. I remember being told that it doesn't matter how the three wires are connected, thats why they aren't color coded differently. I would meticulously clean or rebuild the carbs. These 2 cycle engines are very finicky, and I had an engine failure (melted a piston and destroyed the engine) when a small piece of debris got in one carb. This happened 50 hours after carb rebuild, new fuel lines, and filter. I think it may have come from the pump mounted downstream of the filter. Also, if it has been stored for a while, the bearings could be rusty, and this can lead to a failure after a few hours of use. Now I only trust 2 cycles on week wackers and chainsaws. I would practice your engine out scenarios, I did and it may have saved my life.

    Good luck,

    Kevin

Thanks Kevin, I believe the switch is not the problem. I just know the engine won't start. I did get the fuel drained out of the bowls, lines, and gas tank. I don,t know what gas looks like that has water in it. But this just looked like gas, tomorrow, I will put new gas in.
