    Dave,

Auto gas with ethanol can turn slightly milky if it has absorbed a significant amount of water. It would be hard to believe you have enough water in the system to keep the engine from starting. Did you try turning the engine over with one spark plug removed from the engine (Connected to the lead and grounded to a bare engine bolt) to check for spark? The wires I was referring to are the ones from the stator, I may have misunderstood which wires you were referring too.

If you have spark, will it fire when you spray starting fluid down the carb throat? Are the exterior of your coils cracked from age, or is there a gap where the lead goes into the coil that could allow moisture to enter?

    Kevin

Thanks Kevin, I believe the switch is not the problem. I just know the engine won't start. I did get the fuel drained out of the bowls, lines, and gas tank. I don,t know what gas looks like that has water in it. But this just looked like gas, tomorrow, I will put new gas in.

Dave: not sure what's up with your login, never had a report of that one yet. What browser are you using?

I suspect the browser may be allowing you to add your typed password to an existing ('browser-pre-filled') password, thus in the end filling in an incorrect password. Some browsers will give that behaviour, which can be very misleading. Could be the later redirect fills in your correct password from a cookie.

The normal behavior for this website is to keep you eternally logged in with a cookie, once you have logged in one time correctly. Are you always visiting the forum from a bookmark?? It's possible your browser has a messed up cache, and that is making it look like you arent logged in, when in fact you are! (if you ignored that login box, and just proceeded as if you were logged in, everything would probably work normally on the very next page you went to. You might want to try and clear your browser cache. (but don't delete your cookies!)

In any event, if you supply the correct username and password, you can log in from the forum login boxes, or the login 'button' floating at the very top of the page (pops up a popup login box) or the login box at the very bottom of the page (no popup) just as well...

BTW, if that login button shows "Logout {your username}" - that means you really are logged in, despite whatever login boxes a bad page cache might be showing you...

Dave, you might want to try Internet Explorer or Google Chrome just to see if it makes any difference. I've had different browsers that didn't work well with some websites.

I down loaded Google, went through it and the same thing happened. When I enter my info correctly, it say I did not and gives me the option to have the proper username sent to my email. When I do this I go to my email and there is the same user name that I have been entering, when I click the link to go back to the forum to log in, I find that I am now logged in without having to again give username or password. This has been the only way for me to respond here, if I go about just acting as if I am signed in like some one suggested because I be active when it says I am not. Well I know I am not active when not given the ability to respond in the questions section, I don't get the option. This will be my last posting here as it is to much of a hassle to log in, and I have never been eternally signed in yet. Thanks for the help.
