Hello

New to the forum and trying to get my challenger fit for flight. I have a 582 blue head with the sheer technologies radiator. Can someone help me understand the procedure for removing coolant? Im having a slight overheating issue and i'm not sure of the coolant to water mixture, so I was going to change that out. I'm on the east coast of Canada so will need to be a mix fit for freezing weather.

Thanks

You want to use a 50/50 mix (Obviously) and the best (quickest way) to drain the coolant is to remove the center Allen head bolt on the cylinder head. Make sure you remove the rad cap so it drains quicker. You can also pull a rad hose to drain whats left in the radiator.

Also... Make sure your coolant system vented properly. There should be a vent line from the top of your water pump housing to either you expansion tank or the top hose (t fitted) of your radiator (see attachment)
