Re: 9912ULS Ignition Module Issue, maybe

Considering the addition of Soft Start and 12v power and a separate kill circuit for a key switch and and and and, I am going to go ahead and replace my ignition with Ignitech. Thanks for helping me fully understand what they are offering.

The Ignitech modules are excellent, they are indeed plug and play, and they give you soft start behaviour.
I'm not sure why there is so much emphasis in UK on fitting them on the cockpit side of the firewall. The manufacturers are happy with them on the engine side of the firewall (at least as I read their instructions). They do insist they must be mounted remotely, not on the engine. I think this is as much to do with vibration as heat and is very sensible.

I wondered about that too. Seems like I have plenty of firewall space on my Kitfox 4 thats in a relatively cool zone to mount the modules. When they arrive I will see where they fit best.

I can't believe they are more delicate than the infamous Ducati regulator module and that's usually on the engine side of the firewall, as far as I've seen.

Now I have three good ignition modules for sale. Anyone have any idea on what a 6+6 w/o soft start for a ULS with about 600hrs should sell for? I also have two NEW Old Stock old old style modules (never used) for a UL. Oh yeah, I also have one "questionable" module, if its worth anything.
