Loctite/Anti-Seize on 912ULS Oil Fitting?

The standard practice,  in section 00-00-00 of the heavy maintenance manual, MML, has a statement.  Unless it is specified in the manual no Loctite is used.  The values are for clean and dry torque.  The sealing gasket is sufficient.

Hi Michael,

There is a service instruction bulletin for this (can't seem to find the latest one) In SI-912-003 it states to use loctite 243 which is what I used, however given the importance of this fitting, I am thinking of redoing it with loctite 277 to ensure it doesn't come loose.

Using Loctite on the large oil return Banjo bolt on the bottom of the engine wouldn't really make a difference because the bolt should be safety wired in place and it has a crush washer so it shouldn't leak.   As RW said Loctite isn't needed.

Option 2 (the AN8 adapter) does not have the option of safety-wiring...  I'll look for that Service Instruction.
