912 ULS starting but stalls

Do you have a soft start function on your engine that is somehow staying on too long after cranking that is holding the ignition timing in the retarded state?

I believe I do but how does one tell?  SN?

I do know it always took 3-4 seconds to kick in.  Now it stalls before it ever gets to that 3-4 seconds. Somewhere after 2 and before 3, but I have not used a stopwatch.

Try altering your starting technique. My experience has been to advance throttle rapidly while closing the choke or it dies every time.

I always start mine from cold with the throttle fully closed and the choke full open. I then hold the choke until the engine starts to run a little rough and then I slowly release it whilst increasing the throttle to give 2000rpm. If the engine is hot then I don't use the choke and just set the throttle to give 2000rpm when the engine has started.
