    Hi Tony,

Sorry to hear this. Do you have a Rotax trained mechanic near by?
You have all good questions, but they all depend on what is found inside. We need to know is it just top end damage, did it get down farther into the engine, was there a detonation problem, is a valve broken, ect... It really needs to have that #3 cyl. looked at and the others may need to be a least scoped and depending on that they may need a closer inspection too.
My best advice is to start at the beginning with #3 and a Rotax Heavy Maint. rated tech if one is available.
Depending on what is found you may get some help from Rotax for parts, but this is why it is important to try if at all possible to use a Rotax trained mechanic. Make sure you take good pictures along the way and notes during dis-assembly. It will be important to have your logbook up to date and this is why I have been after so many owners and mechanics to keep better detailed logbook entries and not the annual two liners. Rotax will want to know and see if all the inspections were done and if all the SB's have been followed. They will want to know what was going on when you noticed this and if the engine was running what did you notice.

Start a little log in chronological order that things happened and what you noticed or did. Keep this log as you pull parts of the engine and what you find.

Above all make sure you fill out a CSIR report after your investigation is done.

The only Rotax tech listed online besides you is California Power Systems Inc. Do you do heavy maintenance? Would you consider an all expense paid trip to Denver to help me replace the cylinder? I plan to get all new parts (head/cyl/piston/rings).
