    Thanks for the reply. I got the new parts in the post today, pretty expensive. The new bracket has the nylon bush loaded already. I will put oil on it once installed and keep close eye on it. Interesting to hear others have had the same problem. My advice to anyone who has an small, unexpected/unexplained drop in rpm whilst flying, don't close the throttle until you are prepared to land, once closed you will be committed to an idling motor! I wonder if a thicker gauge wire spring would be a preventative measure as less likely to act like a cheese knife and cut the metal bracket.
