Tempature effect on ignition modules

What is in these ignition modules that goes bad that requires them to cool off to work.
Ice or heat applied to them will let the engine start and have good mag checks.
I had not started the plane in over a week, last night the temp dropped to only 55 degrees/60 in hangar.
This morning I tried it and it started fine at 62 degress. I dont know where the cut off temp is
But it dont work at 78-95 unbelievable to me. New modules still backorded.
