Hour Meter

Hi Guys

Please could somebody tell me in basic terms how to fit an hour metre to a Rotax 912 engine. I have one fitted at the moment but it runs as soon as I turn the electric on. I would like it to run when the engine starts , could somebody tell me how to do this please

The simplest way is to wire the clock through an oil pressure SWITCH.
You will only log time when the enine is running.

thank you, does the new 912s get supplied with a oil pressure switch ???

I don't know about the 912S.
My 912is did not.

It is only a $10-20 part.
Not a deal breaker.
