    Hi Guss,
There are a few things that can cause oil temps to rise acutely or over time like yours. many times it just the oil flow has slowed down. These are the most common.
Things like a hose that has a bend that is pinching down some and flattening out. It still flows oil it just has a reduced radius. Either change the hose or place a spring inside it to keep it wide open.
The oil cooler may have some debris slowing flow down. This should be back flushed.
    A thermostat that is sticking.
    The wrong oil type.
Airflow through the cowl and or cooler has changed or be diverted somehow.
The wire and or wire with a resistor isn't working properly. Switch the #2 CHT probe wire and the oil temp wire and see if the temp stays the same on that CHT wire or if there is a difference after the wire swap. The VDO sensors are the same. Temps and pressures sometimes follow rpm due to poor grounds, loose wires or bad resistors inline (if there is one).

    Hi Roger,
do you happen to know if an aging oil pump can generate temps to rise?
    Regards

The Oil pump is capable of delivering more oil than the engine can use.
The excess oil is dumped by the Oil Pressure Regulator.
As long as you see normal oil Pressure, the Oil Pump is doing its job and the engine is getting all the oil that it needs.

Plus, Is there any part of the engine that is better lubricated than the Oil Pump??? ;)
