Are R and B+ of a Ducati regulator interchangeable?

Hello,

FK14B ultralight with a ROTAX912ULS engine.

I have found out that the connector of a Ducati regulator has a red wire that is routed from R to the battery and that B+ is externally connected/jumped to R.
Normally it is the other way around.

I would like to install a capacitor by cutting the wire from B+ to R and use B+ for routing to the + of the capacitor.

Is this allowed or in other words are R and B+ interchangeable?

It looks like B+ and R are tied together internally, so interchangeable
is irrelevant. Verify with meter.

You could run them both to the capacitor, and use the stud on the capacitor as the point where the two are connected.
