Aircraft: 2015 RV12 SLSA
Engine: 912ULS
142 hrs
Scenerio:

Altitude: 4000msl
OAT: 7 deg C
RPM: 4800
Oil Temp: 158F
CHT left/right: 143F/145F

Are these temps ( which appear to be low based on other posts) acceptable? Baffling required?

It's only 44F (7C) OAT. That's fairly cool OAT plus you're only flying at 4800 rpm. So yes these would be within the normal range under these circumstances.. It can vary plane to plane with different engine cowl setups and different OAT's and rpms. Since your CHT's and oil temp is fairly low you may want to consider placing a 2" wide piece of aluminum tape across the radiator and cooler to get the oil temps to at least 200F+ and the CHT's will follow.

Thanks again Roger. That information is in line with some fellow RV12 owners. But I always like to get opinion/analysis from very experienced Rotax owners.

Try to keep your standard cruise rpm up in the 5000's and not in the 4K rpm range. 5100 - 5300 is where most ground adjustable prop people tend to stay.
