Debris in carb bowl

Rather accidentally ( no real engine roughness or anything ) I found a pretty big piece of debris at the bottom of the carb bowl.
It looks like it just came off of a corner of one of the floats.
The floats are at 6 grams and float and look good ( except that tiny missing corner ) - is it only gonna get worse and I should consider replacing both floats or should I just wait ?
It is s 2012 engine with 350 hours with no real problems ..
Another question ...
I was looking at the new 90 deg Elbow Type LB05F Spark Plug covers which are ceramic and supposed to be better shielded - the ones I have are pretty old and worn out a bit in places, is it worthwhile to install these new caps , is there any benefit over the old ones ?
