Warming and drying them out will make them lighter again but will not resolve the inherent problem.
The Float are made of a fuel-proof Closed Cell foam.
If when the foam is blown the mico air bubbles form too large the cells break open and become Open Cell foam.
Over time these Open cells fill with Fuel and are no longer buoyant.
You can dry them out but they will only fill back up when placed back in service.
It is only time that someone in the field will get tired of buying new Floats and find a fuel-proof coating to spray on the floats to actually make them fuel proof.
