Re: 912 misfire after take off. Gets worse the longer it runs

Hi Brad,
Since you've a thorough knowledge of the Rotax 912 electrical system, I've a question about what lead from the mags should have a fuse installed and an off/on switch? The Rotax Chapter 24 Wiring Diagram does not show any fuse or switch from internal generator to GG terminals on rectifier. I recall another wiring diagram that showed a fuse, but still didn't reference which lead from generator to fuse.
THANKS,
Robert

The "G" terminals on the Alternator are Not fused or switched.
The R, B+, C, and Capacitor leads are connected to a common Alternator Fuse.
It is not uncommon for the builder to have mis-installed the engine.
What aircraft do you have?

Thanks Bill,
I've a Zenith Cruzer.
No fuse or switch for G terminals...wonderful. I installed a 25A Slo-Blow Fuse and a 25k MF Capacitor as per Rotax wiring diagram, so should be good to go.
Regards, Robert
