Unable to run TLR46a

in 912 / 914 Technical Questions 5 years ago

Hello, I am trying to configure my PC laptop to connect to my 914 TCU.  Windows10 Pro Version 1809

I have managed to configure the USB to serial connector to Port 1, and I have downloaded and installed the TLR46a software.

When I try to run it, the DOS Box opens but the TLR64.exe is stated as an illegal command.

What have I done wrong and where do I go from here?

Also, how do you get to post an image on this forum?

    Hmm... TLR46a runs fine here on Win10 1909 (64 bit).

    I would uninstall it, and try running the install (right click) "Run as administrator", then try running the launcher "as administrator".

     

    If that fails, I would try updating your Windows installation to the latest 1909 version

    (Windows version 1809 was released November 13, 2018)

    Thank you.  Problem fixed by downloading again.  Run uninstall.  Restart computer.  Download once again and install.  My error was in trying to remove it by deleting the folder from the c: drive.  For mine, it needed to be removed by the installer on the download.
